What is it?
RadAnt is a self-service radio streaming solution. This allows established clients/radio stations to enhance their online streaming strategy with low risk and cost and still be able to reach larger audiences. It makes use of the Antfarm Content Delivery Network both local to South Africa as well as internationally, to ensure listeners receive the stream from their closest server and in the right format for their device (Mobile, PC, Mac etc) with lower "Time to Connect" and less buffering being the result.
The RadAnt solution works as follows:
1. Client signs a RadAnt contract and receives a player URL, encoder details and Content Delivery Network distribution bandwidth of 5 (yes FIVE) Terabytes
2. Client configures their existing encoder with provided encoder details*
3. Client phones Antfarm to confirm connection and starts streaming immediately.
4. Turnaround time on solution is 10 working days or less.
*Note: If the client does not have an encoder one can be rented from AntfarmInfAnt is a self-service radio streaming solution. This allows clients, most of whom are radio stations, to start off their online streaming service with lower risk and cost, whilst still being able to reach larger audiences. 

Who uses it?

This product is usually aimed at community radio stations, online only stations and one-man concerns that want to start up stations. 

Why use InfAnt over the other products in the market?

Some of the key differentiators for the product are:

1. Experienced support. As Antfarm was one of the pioneers of radio streaming in South Africa we have had extensive experience in radio streaming and have encountered and overcome many of the intricate problems that can arise. This experience is showcased in our support we provide to the client
2. Scalability. Due to the nature of Antfarm’s ever-growing CDN, the solution scales very well and very quickly to support larger numbers as required.
3. No user concurrency limits. Most providers limit a station to the amount of listeners they can have but Antfarm provides a scaling bandwidth usage model to ensure you never have to tell your listeners why they can’t connect to your stream. Also, the bandwidth thresholds are generous, starting off at 1 Terabyte of distribution. Additional bandwidth can be purchased once a station starts experiencing significant growth in listenership.
4. Capped and uncapped solution. We only charge you for bandwidth usage during busy hours – 08:00 – 19:00. Outside of these hours  your bandwidth is uncapped.
